Basics of Mental Health Support Within the Workplace
Course length : 4 hours
This course can be split into one hour sessions over 4 days when taught online.
Course Overview
This course is aimed at anyone within a work place working together or still remotely. If this past six months has taught us anything, it has been we need to look after our mental health and wellbeing. The topics covered on this course will give you an in site on how to support someone with mental ill health and also how to recognise the early warning signs. This course can be delivered face to face or on line.
Course time:
This course can be run over the following way:
One x 4 hour session with two 10 minute breaks face to face or on line
Two x 2 hour sessions on line only
Four x 1 hour sessions on line only

Introductions
What is Mental Health
Stigma and the effects this can have on someone
Depression – what is it and how to recognising the early signs and symptoms
Stress and how to manage it
None Judgemental listening and is it really possible
The Mental Health Continuum
At the end of the course you will have new and confirmed knowledge around mental ill health disorders and the knowledge, skills and confidence to offer, support and guidance to others.
