Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely

This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in the principles of manual handling when moving objects and people. It also allows Learners to practise a range of techniques that they can apply to their workplace.

Intended Audience

The QA Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves assisting and moving people. It is ideal for those working in a variety of health and social care environments such as care homes.

Course Overview

Over a 2 day period, Learners will develop the knowledge and skills relevant to manual handling of objects and the safe moving and handling of people. Topics covered include: common handling injuries, the potential impact to a person if moved incorrectly, personal handling plans, preserving dignity, health and safety when moving a person, using equipment and more.
