Course Overview
This 1-day course prepares learners to act as workplace emergency first aiders. It meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and equips participants with essential skills to respond promptly and safely to emergency situations. Up to 12 delegates per course, delivered by highly experienced emergency medics with real-life clinical experience. All courses can be accredited if required.
Course content:
- Roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
- Assessing an incident
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR and defibrillation
- Recovery position
- Choking
- Seizures
- Shock
- Wounds and bleeding
- Minor injuries (cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns and scalds)
