Course Overview

This course is ideal for those with a specific interest or responsibility to provide basic first aid in emergency situations. Learners gain essential knowledge and practical skills to respond confidently to common first aid incidents. Up to 12 delegates per course, delivered by highly experienced emergency medics with real-life clinical experience. All courses can be accredited if required.

  • Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
  • Assessing an incident
  • Managing an unresponsive casualty
  • CPR and defibrillation
  • Recovery position
  • Choking
  • Seizures
  • Shock
  • External bleeding
  • Minor injuries (cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns and scalds)
  • Accident reporting
